The Maverick Lobo is equipped with performance-tuned shocks and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine.  It is enhanced with brakes that have dual-piston front calipers borrowed from the Focus ST sold in Europe, and a twin-clutch rear drive unit inspired by the Bronco Sport. These upgrades allow the Lobo to drive more like a performance car, providing precise handling and improved steering response—key factors in delivering the street truck experience. 

Lobo Drive Mode: A Unique Feature for Street Performance 

To further enhance its street capabilities, the Maverick Lobo comes with a specialized “Lobo Drive Mode.” This mode is designed to improve cornering performance, grip, and stability by minimizing understeer and activating torque vectoring for tight, responsive handling. However, it’s important to note that this mode is intended for closed-course use only, as it reduces the capability of the stability control system—think of it as the Maverick’s equivalent of the Mustang’s track mode.

Ford began taking orders for the 2025 Maverick Lobo on August 1, with deliveries expected to start in early 2025.
